“The moon is full and so are we. Seven drunken pirates were the seven deadly sins!” Looking out the passenger side window I could see the full moon. Perfect timing as I was headed to the House Of Blues in Hollywood to watch Flogging Molly do what they do best; Put on a memorable show to an audience of devoted fans. As my friend Andres and I approached the HOB the signs of a punk rock show that was going to take place was visible.

What is a Cliche?

A cliche is an expression, idea, or element of an artistic work that has been overused to the point of losing it's original meaning.

The average person knows about 65 cliches and uses an average of 3 to 5 on a daily basis..  Here are just a few.  How many do you know!

Animal clichés

blind as a bat
busy as a bee/beaver
dog-eat-dog world
don't count your chickens (before they're hatched)
gentle as a lamb

If you've ever heard Whiteny Houston's hit song "I will always love you" then this video is a must see!  It played last night on American Idol and sung by Jessica Sanchez.  She NAILED it!  She got a standing ovation from all the judges and everyone in the crowd, most likely everyone at home too.  I admit it, I literally stood up from my couch at home and clapped for her.  I believe Steven Tyler put it best when he said that Jessica just made 40 million people cry at home.  It was beautiful.
